Don't Ask, Don't Tell

Michelangelo Signorile's commentary on the President's latest move.

As he has also said, "They can try and stop it, but the wall is still coming down."

Also, why does "main stream" news interview the likes of Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council on this issue? He and his organization are not experts on the military. And they are certainly not experts on constitutional law or gay people.

That's disappointing. I have enormous respect for Choi, but I'm curious about his stance of not voting for Obama again. He's not going to get a better option from the Republicans, and I can't imagine that the Democrats are going to field any opposition to the incumbent.

The Democrats will take contribution money from gays but then do nothing. Like LBJ and civil rights, mark my words that a conservative will be the one that signs in civil rights for gays.

That would be really interesting.

Many gays are boycotting the DNC and putting their money on specific candidates who have actively demonstrated that they are pushing for gay rights.

A conservative in LBJ's day is a liberal in the eyes of today's conservatives.

It will be interesting to see where both parties are six years from now.

If we can get people who truly believe in the Bill of Rights and the constitution, gays will get their rights. I am trying on my end.

LBJ was considered a southern democrat, it took a southerner to get civil rights. I believe with the Internet and family experiences things will change. This needs to bubble up. It will not happen if we keep incumbents in office.

It's true that education and advocacy are key to civil rights. I am trying on my end, too.

Some of the alternatives to the incumbents aren't too gay friendly, either, and have shown little knowledge of the constitution. The fact that people are sick of the status quo explains why some of these idiots actually have a shot.

But some incumbents are already out. There is no incumbent in my senate race.

I understand how he feels. Obama is basically impotent. He is not a leader. He waits around for someone else to do the leading.

Not voting for Obama might mean not voting at all, in Choi's case.

Our choices were between one who said he was against gay rights and one who lied by saying otherwise.
