Lots going on. Lots of blogs buzzing around in my head, but right now, this is the most important thing:

Be part of the blog swarm. Please, call the Human Rights Campaign, the nation's largest gay rights group, and tell them to pressure President Obama on getting "don't ask, don't tell" repealed this year.

As you know, the president said in his state of the union that he'd "work to repeal" DADT "this year," and Defense Secretary Gates and Admiral Mullen backed repeal but announced yet another study (which they say is unnecessary), that will take a year.

There needs to be pressure on the President to mandate a vote within the year. I have said before we have a leader who waits to be lead. The Human Rights Campaign, the main gay rights lobby, works the same way. So we need to lead them.

75% of Americans now support Gays and Lesbians serving openly in the military.

Please be polite. If you speak to a human being, they may tell you that HRC is working "behind the scenes" to pressure the President. That's all well and good, but there needs to be more up front pressure.

Please cross post if you feel so inclined.

Thanks for your time.
