A Poem by my Friend, Dan

Different

What a dull world this would be
If we were the same you and me

Some are skinny, some are fat
Why can't we leave it at that?

Some are black, some are white
We can't change that - try as we might

We all breathe the same air
We are different - why do you care?

Why must we teach our kids to hate?
If they got along, wouldn't that be great?

You may not like everyone you see
But can't we all just let it be?

Some are straight, some are gay
To love them all is God's way

That's a really nice poem.

I think teaching diversity and acceptance are some of the things this country/world needs most.

I agree. Diversity, acceptance, and compassion should be taught in school.
