Idol Tonight

After watching Idol tonight, I had play my video of Kris Allen doing "Ain't No Sunshine."

Crystal Bowersox is the only reason to watch this year. Most of the rest have not found their feet at all. And they're all so nervous, it's painful to watch.

Tim Urban always looks like a deer in the headlights. OMG.

I totally agree about Crystal. A couple of weeks ago, my entire Facebook status was "Crystal rocks my Bowersox." We can end the competition right now and give her the title, as far as I'm concerned. But I also felt that way about Melinda Dolittle, and she ended coming in like fourth. So what the hell do I know.

I do also like Lee and Big Mike. But Tim Urban and the two teenagers, whose names I can never even remember, and that tells you something right there -- they should have gone home weeks ago.

I liked Melinda, too, so I think you know a LOT.

Lee looks like he doesn't believe he should be there. Mike needs to continue to tone it down. A guy that huge does not need big gestures. It's like looking at everything through a magnifying lens. ;P

I keep wondering how long Crystal will last. She should win, but that doesn't mean she will. Not with our voting public!

Tim... LOL! Deer in the headlights is about right. I kept wondering why his eyes looked like that at the camera. And then I was wondering... Why does he keep creeping forward on the stage? Ellen's comment on that CRACKED ME THE HECK UP!!! Love her.

Lee has great potential, if he can get over his nerves. I love his eyes. They remind me of my brother's.

I still like Casey, but he is playing safe. I like watching and listening to him, though. Still, I know he doesn't compare to Crystal.

Siovan lost it this week, and her scream is getting annoying, imo.

Mike's attitude bugs me, even though he's nice. He grates the wrong way, in spite of the fact he CAN sing. I just can't stand watching him.

Katie should have left a long time ago, but I'm afraid she'll be around a while. Didi was better than her.

Andrew Garcia reminds me of an untalented Danny Gokey.

Aaron reminds me of a weak David Archuleta. And I didn't like Archuleta.

I know it's no season 7 or 8, but it's still somehow entertaining. We'll see how it goes, however, if Crystal gets thrown off.

I'm also wondering if the judges will use the save this year.

Do you know what the theme is for next week?

Obviously our voting public is mostly about really cute guys whether they can sing or not. Thus Tim Urban still being there. So yeah I agree about Crystal.

With the rest, it seems there is talent with not enough emotion or emotion with not enough talent. Didi falls into the second category. She puts her heart into it, but honestly, she wasn't that good a singer. I couldn't imagine buying a CD of hers.

Yeah, I've made the Gokey/Garcia connection, too. It's the physicality of them both (and the glasses).

Theme next week is Lennon/McCartney. :)

With the craziness the past few weeks and the serious lack of talent on AI, I haven't even missed watching it! I agree about Crystal; she's been my favorite since before the top 12. I loved Andrew Garcia during auditions - what he did with "Straight Up" was fantastic - but since then he's been unspectacular. That pretty much describes this season to date, IMHO: Unspectacular.

Last week was the first night watching performances live. *yawn*

I'm currently watching the shows at Ron's house - on his non-stereo 27" TV, lol!

He has met the parents and been exposed to HD TV. He was duly impressed. ;)
