That's kind of bizarre.

It's been my experience that you can use the Bible to justify any belief. There are people who believe that God wants them to be rich, for example.

And eating shellfish is OK because Jesus came and the old law is no longer needed - but it still applies in the case of homosexuality because gay sex is gross!

So yeah, these end-times predictions are not that unusual. But they are sad.

Ha! We have one of those billboards in my town and I've wondered WTH it was all about. Thanks for the link. Good to know. :)

That's just... eery.

I did enjoy several of the comments:

So that means that the entire Republican and Tea party will be gone. Maybe the Democrats can finally get something accomplished.

This just proves my theory that even Jesus doesn't want Palin 2012 to happen.

Hmm, I guess I should inform my friend that the rapture falls on her birthday this year. What a gift!

Someone didn't think this through at all. That's smack in the middle of a long weekend. Traffic is already murder; it's going to be at least a million times worse, what with true believers being sucked up by Sky Dudes.

$1 Jesus moved His date up just to piss off the Mayans.

I did watch that video, and even though I know it's completely unfounded, I found it interesting that they talked about how the church no longer has a purpose and that the code of the Bible will only be revealed to "true believers." However it was all coming from creepy cartoon characters, so there you go.

I've heard the term "Bible-believing Christians" thrown around by the fundamentalists lately - like some of us aren't.

Those are some of my favorite quotes, too. ;)
